You can save lives in Afghanistan
The most dangerous time for civilians is when conflict ends. Displaced people want to return home but explosives such as unexploded bombs, landmines and improvised devices threaten everyone who returns to communities ravaged by conflict.
Humanitarian aid cannot reach people if there are unexploded hazards littering the roads.
The HALO Trust has been making people safe in Afghanistan since 1988. Whatever the situation, our Afghan staff have been there, dealing with landmines and other explosives threats, making their own people safe.
HALO also teaches people what to avoid and how to avoid explosive debris scattered in their streets and fields.
We have 2,500 Afghan staff in place and able to protect the people of Afghanistan. Please support our work.
